I have been the County Councillor for Syston Fosse since 2017 which includes the villages of Queniborough, East Goscote, Rearsby, Thrussington, Cossington and Ratcliffe on the Wreake. I currently service on the County Council’s Scrutiny Commission (examining the work of Leicestershire County Council in detail as well as the decisions of the Cabinet) as well as being the Conservative Spokesman for Health.
Before the 2025 County elections I served on the County’s Cabinet as the Lead Member for Recovery and Transformation (my role was to constantly examine working practices for ways we could improve efficiency and save money).
Between 2013 and 2023 I served on Charnwood Borough Council for the Wreake Villages (representing the villages of Rearsby, Thrussington, Cossington, Ratcliffe on the Wreake and Seagrave), serving on the Cabinet there for eight of those years (covering a range of business areas including public housing).
I am currently a Trustee of the Loughborough Wellbeing Centre, which is one of the leading local mental health charities in our area.
